A 7 DAY TRAINING FOR YOUTH WORKERS

EXPLORING CONSCIOUS PARTICIPATION

through Embodiment, Deep listening, Art and Groupwork.

9th - 17th of JUNE 2025, Momoakademiet, Norway

HumanKind seeks to inspire a personal, communal and systemic change promoting humanness.

We understand that a root cause of the global crisis is that we are living out the dream of separation in an interconnected world. BEING HUMAN we always participate with our very beingness whether we are conscious of it or not. Which means that awareness and conscious participation matters!

With this training we invite youth workers to be co-writers of new empowering stories HUMANKIND; what would Belonging, Participation and Transformation mean if we are living in an interconnected world?

We believe that transformation rises out of our ability to hold opposites; stand in our values while still staying open to change, leading and yet following, creating structure and still letting go, caring for our creations without being attached, taking responsibility while knowing there is a bigger movement at work. The relationships with self, each other and the world at large are not static, they are living evolving connections that deepens with time. By fostering an ongoing discovery process, anchored in intrinsic belonging, we can participate in a movement of becoming more and more human – and the world is in desperate need of humanness.

Deep listening, Embodiment, Art and Group Work

The practice of Deep Listening and Embodiment can show us our inherent belonging through our own direct experience and open our receptivity as part of a larger whole. It can bring us into connection with the intelligence of the moment so we can learn from it, as individuals, groups and a collective field.

We see the possibility for Art, as a creative practice, to act as a mirror of our own participation in the world. To guide us to become aware of our own authentic expression within the deeper movement that intertwines us all.

We see humans as relational beings that learn about themselves and are shaped by relationships. We are born and develop in an environment, in social structures, cultures and collective fields – often so unconscious that we cannot perceive the impact of it. Therefore we understand Group Work to be a fundamental aspect of transforming as a collective and learn together, as we go, maturing into wisdom.

The current educational system often fails to provide avenues for participation from a space of inquiry. Many youth experience a sense of isolation, hopelessness and a lack of agency. We strongly believe that this form of active participation - from a space of inquiry, experiential learning and creativity - should be given space to empower our youth in gaining a sense of trust in their capacity to make an impact in the world.

THE AIM OF HUMANKIND

HumanKind proposes practices that facilitate a return to the felt sense and a deepening connection with our participation in life. By engaging in deep listening, group work processes, embodied experiences and artistic expression, youth workers and young people can rediscover their inner landscapes, creative contribution and intrinsic belonging.

How do I participate? What is my impact and how am I impacted?   What are the qualities I value and care for, that I would love to live in my life? What does it mean to be human?

Our aim is to empower youth workers with a diverse set of skills, fostering authentic participation, self-expression, and creative, collaborative learning experiences. Our intention is to contribute to their personal and professional growth, enabling them to better support and guide the youth they work with, promoting community engagement and transformation.

QUESTIONS/ READ MORE

Momoakademiet is a new organization in the field of personal and collective transformation through awareness-based practices such as deep listening, inquiry, somatic movement, creativity, and conscious communication. The association has a studio outside Oslo, at Nesodden Kunst og Kulturnæringspark, which is a working environment for creative/artistic entrepreneurs, Our studio is called HOS MOMO, and has existed for one year now, becoming an important meeting place for personal growth and collective transformation in Nesodden.

We find it very important to take the practices of personal growth out of the “alternative” and into the public conversation about how we can co-create the world that we wish to be a part of. We see a huge need for a school of change based on inner connection and have a vision to train young people, youth workers/community builders/agents of change to facilitate processes of embodied transformation through deep listening, somatic awareness, and creativity.

We aim to offer young people a community and a meeting place where they can gain informal learning and important life skills to navigate their inner experience, find inner strength and agency for improved mental health, empowered action, and joyful co-creation.  We aspire to be an agent of innovation, research, and continuous learning, sharing stories about how humanity is creating new pathways for wholesome living and sustainable action. We want to be an agent of local and global community building, and be part of the global movement of people, small groups, and organizations working for awareness-based change.
